Crocus
Long finishSapidSpicy
Crocus is the Vernaccia Riserva by Casa alle Vacche, a white wine of structure, depth, and longevity. Aged in oak barrels and in the bottle, it is one of the finest expressions of the San Gimignano territory.
Tasting Notes
Bright straw yellow color with evolving golden reflections. The nose is broad and refined: candied fruit, sweet spices, saffron, cardamom, and salty notes. On the palate, it is velvety, savory, full-bodied, with hints of almond and ripe fruit. The finish is long, mineral, and elegant.
Food Pairings
Seafood appetizers, shellfish, baked fish, semi-aged cheeses. Excellent also as a meditation wine or with spicy and complex dishes.
Why Choose It
If you love structured, intense, and long-lived white wines, Crocus is the perfect wine for you. An unconventional Vernaccia that develops extraordinary aromatic complexity thanks to barrel aging. A white wine for gourmet dining or meditation.
